Learn the Art of Painting

“… deconstruct what you were told to see, learn to look at your subject,”

Grass isn’t always green, shadows aren’t black, the sky isn’t simply blue…, deconstruct what you were told to see, learn to look at your subject, and bring emotion and life to what you wish to capture. Discover the steps of creating a painting from beginning to end. Learn all the basics you need to create a painted piece, the importance of recognising the depths in your subject, throw lights and shadows with drawing as a first step. When using your drawn studies, keep what’s necessary, learn to translate your sketch into colors with acrylic paint.

At the end of this course you will bring back more than a 30x40cm painted canvas, but some knowledge to start exploring on your own.

Céline

Hi, I’m Céline, a professional painter. Using my experience as an artist, I will share techniques I have learned from the past 2 decades with you. I use different types of media (oil, acrylic, oil pastel, markers, ink, on canvas, on wooden board, on paper…).

I started painting classes back in 1996, at age 9. I have been blossoming through art ever since. After 7 years of studying with a french master, I later started exploring on my own. Painting, creating in general has always been a therapy and way of living to me. In 2011 I started selling my work and exhibiting. Now I am ready to teach and share what I know, and I hope you will find some happiness in this new discovery/
